Ferran Adell holds a degree in Philosophy and is an expert in Technology and Society. He is a lecturer on the Degree in Multimedia and the Master’s Degree in Digital Publishing courses at the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya, and of various academic programmes at Elisava, Escola Superior de Disseny i Enginyeria de Barcelona.
His specialities in the sphere of information technology are systems management and the creation of new digital media. The use of technologies in education and in the creation of cultural media, the incorporation of videogames into learning environments and new digital narratives are central subjects in his research.
Besides his academic activity, he develops consulting projects for companies and carries out work on website layout and management, publishes digital books in EPUB format and materialises creations based on new augmented narratives. He also provides technical support for managing changes in ways of accessing, classifying and conserving knowledge in the digital environment.
