Toni Navarro

Philosopher specialising in gender and technology. He is currently doing research within the Sociotechnical Conceptualization Vector launched through the Tecnopolítica research unit (Internet Interdisciplinary Institute/Open University of Catalonia) in the Canódromo – Digital and Democratic Innovation Athenaeum.

He occasionally writes for the media and magazines such as CCCB Lab, El Salto Diario, Píkara Magazine, eldiario.es, El País, Temes de Disseny and Teknokultura. He has given seminars and talks in: Centro Ciencia y Pensamiento (UNSAM), Festival Gelatina (La Casa Encendida), 4th International Symposium on Mutating Ecologies in Contemporary Art, Institute for Postnatural Studies, Institut d’Humanitats de Barcelona, Centre de Cultura Contemporània de Barcelona (CCCB), Centro de Documentación y Estudios Avanzados de Arte Contemporáneo (CENDEAC), Biennal de Pensament Ciutat Oberta, Primavera Pro, Decidim Fest and FEM TEK Bilbao. He has been a visiting lecturer in critical studies at the EINA University School of Design and Art (Autonomous University of Barcelona).

He has recently written the Spanish translations and forewords for the books New Vectors from Xenofeminism by Laboria Cuboniks (Nuevos vectores del xenofeminismo, Holobionte Ediciones, 2022) and The Terraforming by Benjamin Bratton (La terraformación, Caja Negra, 2021). He has also written the forewords to the Spanish editions of Xenofeminism by Helen Hester (Xenofeminismo, Caja Negra, 2018) and The War of Desire and Technology at the Close of the Mechanical Age by Sandy Stone (La guerra de deseo y tecnología, Holobionte Ediciones, 2020), and has translated texts by various authors for the anthology Ciberfeminismo.
