Architect, urban planner and cultural theorist.
Natalia Figueredo is a Latino-Amazonian woman from Brazil settled in Barcelona since 2015. Her background includes a degree in Architecture and Urbanism (Escola da Cidade – São Paulo, Brazil), a MA in Cultural studies (Goldsmiths University of London – UK). She is currently pursuing a PhD in the Department of Anthropology at the University of Barcelona, where she researches urban development in the Amazonian territories. Additionally, she is a member of the Observatory of Urban Conflict Anthropology (OACU) and collaborates with the European project Sonic Street Technologies, researching sound technology in urban Amazonia. Her main areas of interest are: informal urbanism, popular culture, political ecology, decolonial studies, and feminisms.
