Max Besora

Writer and Doctor in Linguistic, Literary and Cultural Studies.

Max Besora (1980) holds a PhD in Literature from the University of Barcelona. As a writer he has published L’espectre electromagnètic (Pagès editors, 2008, Benet Ribes XLIV Poetry Prize) and the novels Vulcano (LaBreu edicions, 2011), La Tècnica Meravellosa: una novel·la de campus (Males Herbes, 2014), Aventures i desventures de l’insòlit i admirable Joan Orpí, conquistador i fundador de la Nova Catalunya (Males Herbes, 2017, Ciutat de Barcelona Prize 2018 for Catalan Literature), the essay/fiction Trapologia (Ara Llibres, 2018), co-written with Borja Bagunyà and La musa fingida (published in Catalan by Males Herbes and in Spanish by Orciny Press, 2020).
