Ignasi Torrent

PhD in International Relations from Pompeu Fabra University.

He is currently a Senior Lecturer in Politics and International Relations and Head of the Politics and International Relations Department at the University of Hertfordshire in the UK. He is also a researcher in the Critical Humanities and International Politics Research Group (CHIP) at the same university. He has previously held positions at institutions including the University of Westminster in London, the City University of New York and the University of Sierra Leone. His research interests focus on critical peace and conflict studies, the challenges of the Anthropocene and contemporary critical thinking. He has published numerous academic and non-academic works on these topics through internationally recognised scientific journals and publishers. In 2021, he published the book Entangled Peace with Rowman and Littlefield.
