Helen Hester

Researcher, writer and feminist activist.

Professor of Gender, Technology and Cultural Politics at the University of West London. Her research interests include technofeminism, sexuality studies and theories of social reproduction, and she is a member of the international feminist collective Laboria Cuboniks, made up of experts from fields such as visual arts, programming, philosophy, archaeology and design. Her books include Xenofeminism (Polity Press, 2018), After Work (with Nick Srnicek; Verso Books, 2023), Beyond Explicit: Pornography and the Displacement of Sex (State University of New York Press, 2015) and Fat Sex: New Directions in Theory and Activism (Routledge, 2015).
