Professor emeritus at the University of Michigan, and an expert in eco-philosophy and evolutionary epistemology.
He studied logic and musicology at Warsaw University and received his PhD in philosophy from Oxford University. He then moved to the University of Southern California in Los Angeles and the University of Michigan in Ann Arbour, where he has continued to teach for many years. He is recognised as the leading figure in the field of ecosophy and one of the most rigorous advocates of paradigm change.
