Carlos Delclós holds a PhD in Political and Social Sciences from the Pompeu Fabra University and is a research associate at the CIDOB, and his research examines social change and inequality in urban settings by combining sociodemographic analysis and cultural theory. He is the author of Hope is a Promise: From the Indignados to the Rise of Podemos in Spain (Zed 2015). In addition to his articles in scientific journals, his work has been published by The New York Times, Frieze, Jacobin, Opendemocracy.net, Eldiario.es, Diari Ara, Ctxt, Critic and Periódico Diagonal, among others.
