Director of the Institut de Recherche et Innovation at the Centre Georges-Pompidou, Bernard Stiegler also teaches at the Université de Technologie de Compiègne. He is a philosopher and has a doctorate in Philosophy from the Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales. He has been programmes director at the Collège International de Philosophie and director of the knowledge research unit at Cornaissances. In 1993 he created and became director of the research laboratory COSTECH (Knowledge, Organisation and Technical Systems). He was subsequently appointed as the assistant general manager of the National Audiovisual Institute.
Bernard Stiegler has published more than 100 articles, including many papers in published collections.
