Jose Valenzuela Ruiz

Expert in neuroscience, engineering, literature and virtual reality. He works at the Universitat de Barcelona’s EventLAB and writes in Jot Down Magazine.

Jose Valenzuela (Terrassa, 1982) is an electronic and automatics engineer, and has a master’s in biomedical engineering, an MBA and a master’s in literary creation. He has worked as a lab engineer in the Nanomaterial and Microsystems Group at the UAB and the Cognitive Neuroscience Research Group (Brainlab) of the UB, and as project manager for innovation at Vall d’Hebron University Hospital. He currently divides his time between a humanities doctorate in literature and cognitive sciences (Pompeu Fabra University, Barcelona), his work in neuroscience and virtual reality (EventLAB, University of Barcelona), writing for Jot Down Magazine and in other media.
